Juanita Neville-Te-Rito

A woman's shopping bag carries more than goods; it carries stories about her and the many influencers in her life. If retailers better understood that journey, they could ensure the correct products and experiences are there for her and prolong the tale.
An Aussie by birth and Kiwi at heart, Juanita is the founder of retail specialist consultancy, The Retail Collective. The Retail Collective knows retail and knows shoppers. We understand shopper journeys and understand that there are many touchpoints on the path to her purchase that can make her feel good, bad or indifferent.

Armed with bags full of retail experience and insights, Juanita has held executive management roles for iconic NZ and Australian businesses including Progressive Enterprises (Countdown, Woolworths & Foodtown), Noel Leeming Group, Yum Brands (Pizza Hut, KFC), Warehouse Stationery, Sizzler International and Eagle Boys. As CEO of retail agency Hotfoot, she led the transformation of many brand experiences and the way they communicate with shoppers including Unichem and Life Pharmacy, Wendy's, Liquorland, Palmer Garden and Countdown to name a few.

Juanita’s insights and expertise from the wonderful world that is retail have been drawn not just from a twenty-five year career in the industry but also from her personal passion for shopping, to which she applies the same high levels of energy, leadership and intelligence as she does to business.
